In 2004, I was spoken to by players who had seen my photo's and expressed interest in seeing more of my shots. Especially those who wanted to send pictures home to parents in other states. A number of supporters also wanted copies of pictures, with some suggesting I post them for others to see. Toward the middle of the 2004 season The Royals Gallery was born. Since then the site has grown and I am now a regular site on the oval with my camera. A number of my photo's are displayed in the Royals Yearbook as well as the Royals News, The Budget, The West Australian and The Sunday Times.
In 2007 I was invited to be the official photographer for the club, a role I have gladly taken on. Although photography is not my profession, it is a passion and I enjoy catching that great shot for others to see. I originally began taking photo's for my friends Motorcycle Racing School and selling pictures to the riders and the media who attended race meetings. However due to a very serious motorcycle crash myself in 2004, I was unable to get to Wanneroo and move around the track like I used to. Thus, I started bringing the camera to Royals games.
I am a 3rd generation member of the East Perth Football Club and have been attending games for over 30 years. Many of our more senior supporters would have seen me and my brothers grow up around the club as many of you are now watching my son. Up until only recently with the passing of our Gran, there would be our entire family in the stands representing 4 generations of Royals supporters.
